Gamut Privacy Policy

Gamut is a daily color-matching photo game made by Kuboptics ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. The game itself can be played without an account. The information below applies when you create an account to use friends and leaderboards.

Information we collect

• Account details: your email address and password. Passwords are stored securely by our authentication provider and we never see or store them in readable form.
• Profile: a display name you choose and a friend code used to connect with friends.
• Gameplay data: your daily scores, pass or fail results, and the dates you played.
• Photos: small preview images (thumbnails) of the photos you submit for a daily round. These are visible only to friends whose requests you have accepted.
• Friend connections: the friend requests you send, receive, and accept.
• Notifications: if you turn on friend activity notifications, we store a device token so we can send them, along with your on or off preference.

How we use your information

• To run the game and save your progress.
• To show scores and photos on the leaderboard you share with accepted friends.
• To send optional notifications when a friend plays, if you have enabled them.

We do not use your information for anything else.

What we do not do

• We do not sell or rent your data.
• We do not show ads.
• We do not use third-party advertising or tracking.

Who can see your data

Your scores and photos are visible only to friends whose requests you have accepted. They are not public. People who are not your accepted friends cannot see your photos or history.

Where your data is stored

Your data is stored on Supabase, a cloud backend provider, using industry-standard security. Data may be processed on servers located outside your country.

Deleting your account and data

You can permanently delete your account at any time from inside the app: go to Settings and choose Delete Account. This immediately and permanently removes your account, your scores and history, your friend connections, and your photos. This cannot be undone.

Children's privacy

Gamut is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes.
